UML Preservation Week Event with Fenella France

This year marks our 5th year celebrating national Preservation Week at UM libraries. Preservation Week is sponsored by the American Library Association and aims to foster community dialogue about preservation.

This year we are delighted to host Fenella France, the Chief of the Preservation Research and Testing Division at the Library of Congress, who will join us virtually on Monday, April 25th at 2pm.

Fenella will present on the Mellon-funded project Assessing the Physical Condition of the National Book Collection. The University of Miami Libraries is a partner on this project, sending volumes to the Library of Congress for visual assessment and physical testing.

We hope you will save the date and join the presentation to learn more about this fascinating and timely project.
